Welcome to the first In Touch with the World for 2010 which focusses on Millennium Development Goal 1 - Hunger and Poverty. the 8 Millennium Goals set in 2000 globally represent a common vision for a better future- a world with less poverty and less hunger, equal opportunities for women who are overly represented in areas of extreme deprivation and discrimination, better access to education and health services. it is now only 5 years to go to when these goals are to be realised, and it up to us all to play our part.
